ARCADE

ARCADE was a Coordination and Support Action funded by the European Commission’s Horizon 2020 programme, aimed at building consensus across stakeholders from all sectors for a sound and harmonised deployment of Connected, Cooperative and Automated Driving (CAD) in Europe and beyond. The project ended in July 2022.

ARCADE has federated a CAD Stakeholder Network through the organisation of regular workshops and co-organisation, with the European Commission, of EUCAD Conferences and Symposia. The CAD Stakeholder Network exchanged knowledge and experiences, built up synergies and a common approach to development, testing, and validation of CAD.

ARCADE also contributed to the definition of future Research & Innovation priorities in Europe for the main thematic areas related to the deployment and adoption of CCAM, as input to the Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA) and ERTRAC Roadmaps on Connected, Cooperative and Automated Mobility in Europe.

ARCADE also consolidated the Knowledge Base of CAD.

ARCADE capitalised on the CARTRE Support Action legacy and was open to Associated Partnership.

ARCADE Objectives

Cooperation between all stakeholders from the European and international CAD community across all sectors involved.
Coordination of cooperation efforts between all research & innovation initiatives, including national and European programmes as well international cooperation activities.
Synergies and Consensus building on CAD deployment scenarios and research needs for connected and automated driving.
Exchange of knowledge and experiences from past and ongoing research and piloting activities on CAD at national, European, and international levels.
