ARCADE collects feedback from CAD stakeholder network

26 February 2020

On 13 February 2020, the ARCADE Joint Connected and Automated Driving (CAD) Network and the ERTRAC Working Group on “Connectivity and Automated Driving” organised the 3rd stakeholder workshop in Brussels.

The workshop aimed to further explore key priorities for the different thematic areas (together with application specific priorities) at technical, systems & services and societal levels (identified in ARCADE roadmap) in interactive working sessions. More than 80 stakeholders from industry, research organisations, policymakers, public and road authorities and user associations expressed their interest in participating in the workshop, in addition to ARCADE consortium partners. The workshop put a special emphasis on interactively engaging all participants to brainstorm together on the next steps that need to be taken mainly regarding the consolidated roadmap developed under the ARCADE project.

All participants actively contributed to the poster sessions on thematic areas and gave a valuable feedback in order to define common approaches and to discuss support actions by working in small groups. The feedback was collected by thematic areas leaders/co-leaders and will be analysed in a workshop proceeding which will published within the next weeks on the CAD website.

Next steps of implementation of ARCADE project include among others an organisation of EUCAD 2020 Interactive Symposium on Research & Innovation for Connected and Automated Driving in Europe which will take place at the Transport Research Arena conference (TRA2020) in Helsinki, Finland.
