Workshop: Automated Mobility. What Role for Standards?

Workshop: Automated Mobility. What Role for Standards?

21 Nov 2018 - 21 Nov 2018

Brussels, Belgium

Standardisation is an important part of connected and automated mobility. Vehicles require new ways of interacting with each other as well as with the infrastructure. Related to automated mobility, standardisation plays a crucial role in areas such as data, safety and infrastructure.

This is the reason why CEN (European Committee for Standardization) and CENELEC (European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization) organise on 21 November 2018 a one-day stakeholder workshop to discuss and identify specific standardization gaps. Participants will identify areas and ways in which standards can contribute to safety and security of automated mobility.

The Connected Automated Driving initiative will have a stand at the event to provide more information about CAD and also about the just-launched project ARCADE, the Coordination and Support Action that seeks at building consensus across stakeholders for sound and harmonised deployment of Connected, Cooperative and Automated Driving (CAD).

Further information about the workshop can be found here.
